plantinmind is a service operated by Blooming Boxes ("Blooming Boxes," "we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through the plantinmind service, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using plantinmind, you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide

Account information: your name, email address, and password when you create an account, and whether you are a household or a gardener.
Garden and planter details: the planters, plants, soil, sun exposure, and locations you add to your account.
Messages: the content of messages, including any photos, you exchange with your gardener or households through the service.
Payment information: when you subscribe, your payment card details are collected and processed by our payment provider, Stripe. We do not store your full card number on our servers.

Information collected automatically

Location: the ZIP code or geographic location you provide or allow, which we use to retrieve local weather and tailor plant-care guidance.
Device and notification tokens: if you enable notifications, we store a push notification token so we can send you alerts.
Usage and log data: basic technical information such as access times and actions taken in the app, used to operate and improve the service.

2. How we use your information

We use your information to:

Provide the service, including personalized, weather-aware plant-care guidance;
Generate care recommendations, which may use automated systems and AI;
Enable messaging between households and their gardeners;
Send notifications you have enabled, such as weather and care alerts;
Process subscriptions, payments, trials, and cancellations;
Maintain security, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations;
Communicate with you about your account and the service.

3. How your information is shared

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to run the service, with the following categories of providers:

Anthropic	AI-assisted plant-care guidance

We may also share information between a household and the gardener linked to that household, as part of how the service works. We may disclose information if required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or others. If Blooming Boxes is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

4. How long we keep information

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. Photos shared in messages are automatically deleted after 30 days. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal information at any time (see "Your choices" below). We may retain certain information as required for legal, accounting, or security purposes.

5. Your choices and rights

Access and update: you can view and update much of your information directly in the app.
Deletion: you can request deletion of your account and personal data by contacting us.
Notifications: you can turn push notifications on or off in your device settings.
Marketing: we will not send you promotional messages without a way to opt out.

California residents

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA) gives you the right to know what personal information we collect, to request its deletion, to correct inaccurate information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.

6. Children's privacy

plantinmind is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Your continued use of plantinmind after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
